Synopsis

First-year high school student Maki Maehara expects to spend his school life quietly, unable to keep up with the conversations around him and dedicating his free time to video games and B-list movies. But by some wondrous chance, his self-introduction on the first day of class catches the attention of Umi Asanagi, a classmate known among the boys as the "second cutest girl in class," just behind her best friend, Yuu Amami. It turns out that Asanagi secretly shares Maehara's hobbies, which sparks a genuine connection between the two. Despite being part of the most popular circle in class, Asanagi begins spending her Fridays at Maehara's home instead. The two pass the time playing games, watching movies, reading manga, and sharing junk food away from the attention of their classmates. Before long, it becomes their weekly routine, creating a friendship that acts as respite amid their very different social standings.
